Pumpkin carving!!!!!!

I have not carved a pumpkin in years!! Grandma Lamb thought it would be fun to have all the kids carve a pumpkin for Halloween. Well okay, they didn't really do any of the carving, it was mostly the adults :) Here is the finished product ....

This was the most decent picture I was able to get of them together. We are missing Emily as she did not want her picture taken with the pumpkins.

Sarah was a little upset when we turned the lights off....its was scary

All better now

Playing at the park

Payton's favorite thing to do is go to the park. It is finally starting to cool down a little so we have been able to go more often. She walk all the way by herself and will not let you hold her hand for very long before she lets go. She thinks she is just such a big girl.

I don't know how children can sit like this. So cute!!
she is stopping to look at the pretty flowers.

This girl loves to climb. She can climb all the way up the playground by herself. Then she
stops to look at us through the bars.

She can also slide down the slide all by herself. So much fun!!

Utah Trip !!

We went to Utah in August for Kiley's graduation from BYU. Payton did pretty good on the ride up which took about 10 hours. It was a lot of fun as we got to see Matt's family and we got to enjoy the beautiful TREES and GRASS that we do not have here in Arizona :( Here are just a few pictures of the trip.

Payton and Aunt Kiley on graduation day!!

We got to go up to Heber where Matt's Aunt Judy was living and Payton got to feed their horse a carrot.

Unfortunately we missed her feeding the horse.

The horse got a little closer to Payton and she didn't seem to like that too much.

She did however love sitting in the tire swing.

Payton's first birthday

Opening Presents

She actually did pretty good at helping open them once dad showed her how to rip the paper. Payton's favorite gift of course was her shoes. I don't know where she gets it from but she is obsessed with them. She just had to have mom put them on her right away.

Such a silly girl!

Present to Daddy

I had no idea what to get Matt for his first Fathers day that wouldn't cost hundreds of dollars. If anyone knows Matt, he has very expensive taste, and usually want's some type of electronic. I didn't want to do the whole tie thing since he already has a ton of those. So I had this idea to take pictures of Payton in her cute little tutu that Matt's mom made for her, and put them in a frame for him to take to work. He loved it, and I thought I would share with everyone since the pictures are so dang cute!!

My cubby hole

This is one of Payton's favorite places to play. Her little cubby hole.

Peekaboo, I see you.

Payton has learned how to open and shut doors

Mommy's little helper

Payton has reached the age of mobility. She can now move around everywhere and loves to explore everything. She especially loves to help me when I am doing the dishes..

What mom,you said you need some help??
Well let me be of some assistance...
Oh, well this part looks like it needs to come out...

Okay, I almost have it...

Okay Mom, I got the rolling thing on the floor for you
is there anything else I can help with??

To eat or not to eat??

So this picture is from a few months back when Payton finally started to eat solids at about 7 months old. She looooved carrots. Note that I said loved. She actually loved anything that was not green. She absolutely hates green vegetables. It doesn't surprise me seeing as how Matt and I are very picky eaters and we both have a hard time with vegetables. I have been working on that and I have been trying new foods because I want my kids to eat their vegetables. Well....Payton has decided as of a month ago that she doesn't want to eat any food. Just MILK. She loooooooves her milk. She can't get enough of it. That is the way she has been since she was born. She was ravenous for her milk. So now she is back to eating a wide variety of milk and milk, and more milk. This is just a cute little picture of her when she used to actually eat her carrots with her cheeky little face. Now she clenches her lips shut and turns her head from side to side when I try to feed her. Oh well, I'll just keep trying!!!

I'm finally starting my blog!!!

So I've been meaning to start a blog for a while now and am finally getting around to it. Now you can all have the latest updates on Payton and the family. (ok let's be honest...mostly Payton) Hopefully I will keep current on this and not slack off. My biggest problem is I am obsessed with photoshop and it takes me forever to get my pictures how I want them. So I have decided that I am only going to photoshop some of them so that I can stay current on this.
